Write Effective Prompts

The quality of your prompts is the single biggest factor in how useful your Quratic data is. This guide explains how to write prompts that reflect real user behaviour and surface meaningful insights.

Write like a real user, not a marketer. AI platforms are trained on natural conversational queries. Overly formal or keyword-stuffed prompts may return generic responses.

  • Good: “What tools can help me track whether my brand appears in AI chatbot answers?”
  • Less useful: “AI brand monitoring software comparison analytics”

Be specific about context. Queries with context yield more relevant responses with higher brand-mention signal.

  • Generic: “Best CRM software”
  • Specific: “Best CRM for small e-commerce businesses in Singapore”

Match the language your users actually use. If your users in Japan search in Japanese, your prompt should be in Japanese.

Users who don’t yet know your brand exists are searching for a solution:

“How do marketing teams track AI search visibility?” “Tools for monitoring brand mentions in ChatGPT”

Users actively evaluating options:

“Best AI search analytics tools in 2025” “[Your brand] vs [Competitor]“

Users describing a problem, not yet searching for a product:

“How do I know if my brand appears in Google AI Overviews?” “My website traffic from AI is dropping — why?”

Users who know your brand and want more information:

“Is Quratic worth it for a startup?” “Quratic pricing”

Each prompt runs from one market. If you want coverage across multiple markets:

  1. Enable the markets you need in Brand Settings → Markets
  2. Write your prompt once
  3. Click Copy to market (in the prompt’s action menu) and select additional markets
  4. Adjust the prompt language if needed for each market

Categories are for your own organisation and do not affect tracking. A simple taxonomy to get started:

CategoryPurpose
awarenessTop-of-funnel discovery queries
considerationComparison or evaluation queries
brand-directQueries that name your brand
competitorQueries naming a specific competitor

Start with 5–10 prompts covering different intents. More is not always better — focus on prompts where your brand could plausibly appear. Once you see your first results, add prompts in areas where you have low share of voice.
